Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one session without the need to switch between devices. They can also help save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. Its mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly app that lets you select the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you could decide to let the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only minor issue is that it tends to hit objects and walls at a high speed, but a quick glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs must be completed including emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank by itself with a 600ml of eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand however we would like to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship best robot vacuum and mop vacuum and mop is the most recent version. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can take the robot vacuum cleaner best to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.

The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful choices available. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and understand The X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to configure. The L20 Ultra robot vacuums best is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has a number of features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature on its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.

There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options to customize the cleaning process, and there are a lot of features that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles instead of relying on a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-constructed. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
